Central Java Police Seize 47 Kg Meth, 34K Ecstasy Pills

The Drug Crime Investigation Unit of the Central Java Regional Police has seized a significant quantity of narcotics in multiple cases spanning from January to February 2024. A total of 47 kilograms of crystal methamphetamine and 34,800 ecstasy pills were confiscated during these operations. Senior Superintendent M. Anwar Nasir, the Head of the Drug Crime Investigation Unit, provided details on Wednesday (20/3/2024). The first case originated from the discovery of 1 kilogram of crystal methamphetamine and 250 ecstasy pills at the Sragen East Toll Gate Exit on January 12, 2024. This initial breakthrough led to the uncovering of another case at the Cikande Toll Gate Entrance, Julang, Cikande, Banten, on 21 February 2024. In both instance, the police seized a total 47 kilograms of methamphetamine and 34,800 ecstasy pills, as reported by antaranews.com. Further investigations resulted in the arrest of four suspects: Galih Dwi Andri, Parman, Taufik Hidayah, and Erwin Baharudin. Additional cases were reported in Semarang, Magelang, and Surakarta, with suspects identified as Joko Iswanto, Edwin Yulian, and M. Adi Haryanto. (mg/inp/pr/nm)
