Chief of East Nusa Tenggara Regional Police: May the Spirit of Christmas Peace Keeps Strengthening Tolerance and Harmony between Each Other

Chief of East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) Regional Police, Police Inspector General Lotharia Latif, wishes a Merry Christmas for Christians in NTT and hopes that this year's celebrations could strengthen peace and harmony in the community. "May the spirit of peace and love in Christmas keep strengthening tolerance and harmony between each other in NTT", Chief of NTT Regional Police said on Saturday (25/12/2021). Besides, the Chief of NTT Regional Police also invited all people to respect the Christians who celebrate Christmas to run safely and peacefully. He also hoped that Health Protocols keep being enforced in the worship of Christmas 2021 and the celebration of New Year 2022. "I hope that until the celebration of New Year 2022, people still observe Health Protocols because this is the government policy for all our goodness. Therefore, we could suppress Covid-19 transmission. To maintain security during Christmas and New Year celebrations, NTT Regional Police held 2021 Lilin Ranaka Operations, commencing from December 23, 2021, to January 2, 2022", Chief of NTT Regional Police added. "At the moment, 3,904 personnel of NTT Regional Police are being deployed in the 2021 Lilin Ranaka Operation in the NTT region, consisting of 1,482 personnel of NTT Regional Police and 2,476 joint forces, consisting of 543 personnel of Armed Forces and 1,933 personnel of related institutions", Chief of NTT Regional Police added. "The personnel deployment is focused on security in several places such as churches, tourism objects, and other places to ensure security and order maintenance anticipation and Covid-19 cases surge preventions. With such strength, may the celebrations of Christmas 2021 and New Year 2022 could run safely and smoothly", Chief of NTT Regional Police concluded.
