Chief of Indonesian National Police (Kapolri) Urges Public to Avoid Silaturahmi in Agglomeration Regions

inp.polri.go.id. – Jakarta. Chief of INP Police General Listyo Sigit Prabowo urges the public to celebrate 2021 Eid virtually. "Activity under agglomeration area, since there are activities at district level to celebrate Eid, Demonstration of Friendship (silaturahmi), it should be avoided," as explained by the former Chief of Crime Investigation Agency, Thursday (13 May 2021). Sigit reminded the public to follow Covid-19 health protocol to avoid the transmission and spreading of the virus. "I remind you all, the imposition of restriction on community activities (PPKM Mikro) at homecoming destination should be excalate, so if there is anyone getaway of the insulation, she or he needs to observe," as he said. Sigit is also aware that there are people who manage to be able to carry out homecoming. He expects that following health protocol may prevent someone from getting infected. "We assume that everyone who enters homecoming areas in good condition and has been checked and surely covid negative," he concluded.
