inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Deputy III of the Presidential Chief of Staff for Economic Affairs, Dr. Ir. Edy Priyono, M.E., said that the Domestic Market Obligation (DMO) for cooking oil in 2024 had decreased. According to him, the decreased DMO was due to decreased export performance.

On this occasion, he said that this was what caused the realization of the supply of bulk cooking oil and Minyakita to be low in 2024. DMO is an obligation for palm oil derivative industry business actors to provide packaged cooking oil domestically.

"Why did the supply of bulk cooking oil and Minyakita itself decrease? Because the DMO has decreased, the DMO has decreased because exports have decreased," he said, as reported by the RRI website, Saturday (28/9/24).
