inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Deputy Chairman of Commission III of the Indonesian House of Representatives, Dede Indra Permana Soediro, invited the entire community to maintain national stability by creating a harmonious and conducive atmosphere.
He also asked the public not to be easily trapped and provoked by narratives that could disrupt the stability of the government and the performance of law enforcement officers, especially the Police.
"Let's create a harmonious and conducive atmosphere. Don't provoke and corner each other, we support all forms of law enforcement according to the main tasks and functions regulated in laws and regulations," said Deputy Chairman of Commission III Dede on Monday (2/24/2025).
He emphasized that in every element of society and state institutions, including the police, there must be individuals who abuse their authority.
However, the main concern is how the impacts can be handled quickly, and how sanctions and actions against these individuals are enforced firmly.
He also gave an example of the role of the Police as a community partner in various situations, including the recent flooding in Genuk, Semarang, Central Java. He appreciated the police's actions in helping residents without waiting for the incident to go viral.
"Without having to go viral, the police helped people who passed through the route for daily and business needs. Many broken down motorbikes were helped to cross the flood, one manifestation of Protecting the Community," said Dede.
For that, he invited the public to immediately report if they find any irregularities, and to utilize the role of the police as partners and public servants in accordance with their duties and functions.
"Do not hesitate to report if there is any abuse of authority. The police are partners of the public and we must utilize them in accordance with their main duties and functions." added Dede.
