inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Member of Commission III of Indonesian House of Representatives from the NasDem Faction, Rudianto Lallo, praised the wise attitude shown by the Chief of the Indonesian National Police (INP), General Listyo Sigit Prabowo in response to the song 'Bayar Bayar Bayar' sung by the band Sukatani.

"Chief of Police, General Listyo Sigit Prabowo, has shown a wise and prudent attitude in responding to the song 'Bayar Bayar Bayar' by the band Sukatani, where the lyrics of the song contain very sharp criticism of the police. I salute the Chief of Police's attitude," said Rudianto on Monday (2/24/2025).

He emphasized that all police ranks under him must follow General Sigit's attitude in responding to criticism in any form.

"The wise and prudent attitude of General Listyo Sigit Prabowo in responding to criticism must be an example, must be emulated by all personnel and units from the central  HQ to the lowest level of ranks at the Police Sector," said Rudianto.

Furthermore, Rudianto argued that the criticism contained in the song 'Bayar Bayar Bayar' by the band Sukatani should also be a reminder for INP as an institution and for police personnel to improve.

In addition, he supports the steps of the Chief of Police who plans to make the Sukatani band an ambassador for the Police.

On the other hand, Rudianto regretted the attitude of the Central Java Regional Police Cyber Criminal Investigation Directorate who took the initiative to reach the two Sukatani band members to take down the song.

He also supported the efforts of the Police's Professional and Security Division to immediately conduct an examination of the said personnel.

"The Central Java Regional Police should not have immediately acted repressively, especially since they are suspected of acting intimidatingly towards the two Sukatani band personnel, making them to release an apology video and withdraw the song 'Bayar Bayar Bayar' from all platforms. In fact, one of the band members, who works as a teacher, was fired allegedly due to a letter from the Central Java Regional Police to the school. Repressive and intimidating methods like this should not continue to happen," explained Rudianto.

Previously, the Sukatani band went viral on social media for apologizing to the INP for their song 'Bayar Bayar Bayar'. The song has lyrics that heavily criticize police officers in the field. In the video circulating, two Sukatani personnel, unmasked, revealing their unanimous identity, apologized to INP
