East Kalimantan Regional Police Deploys Personnel to Aid Flood Affected Victims in North Balikpapan

Inp.polri.go.id – East Kalimantan. The Water and Air Directorate of East Kalimantan Regional Police monitors the flood in Mandor KM 18, North Balikpapan to help the people in need on Tuesday (1/2/2024). “Our current task is to monitor and help the people in need,” says personnel of East Kalimantan Water and Air Police Directorate, Taufik Ismail. Moreover, the directorate also sends logistic aids such as rubber boat which played a vital role in evacuating the people. It was reported that a flood with the height reaching adult’s waist has inundated Slamet and Mandro KM 18 neighborhood in North Balikpapan. The flood occurred after a downpour overnight. The two locations also notorious for being flooded and hoped the government would fix the issue by repairing the water channel drainage. (ad/ri/pr/nm)
