Inp.polri.go.id - Mataram. The East Nusa Tenggara (NTB) Regional Police and the Election Supervisory Body (Bawaslu) have signed a cooperation agreement to enhance supervision and security for the upcoming 2024 regional elections.
The agreement, signed over the weekend by East Nusa Tenggara Police Chief, Inspector General Raden Umar Faroq, and East Nusa Tenggara Bawaslu Chair, Itratif, aims to strengthen coordination in ensuring a safe and transparent election process.
“This collaboration ensures we feel secure in carrying out our duties,” said Itratif, expressing gratitude for the police's role in maintaining safety during the election.
Chief Raden highlighted the importance of the partnership to anticipate potential risks during critical election stages, especially during campaigns and vote counting. Both institutions are committed to improving oversight and security measures at all levels to ensure peaceful elections across the province.
