Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta.  Three more state maritime institute Sekolah Tinggi Ilmu Pelayaran (STIP) Marunda students have been named as suspects in the fatal assault case against a junior student. 

North Jakarta Metropolitan Sub-regional Police Chief Senior Superintendent Gidion Arif Setyawan confirmed on Wednesday (8/5/2024) the involvement of suspects FA, KAK and WJP, in the fatal assault case against P, following investigations and linguistic expert opinions. 

He said that the three new suspects played a role of "accomplice" or "aiding and abetting" in the assault, bringing the total number of suspects to four according to antaranews.com

The police have previously named student TRS as the main suspect in the case.

The three news suspects may face charges under Articles 55 and/or 56 of the Criminal Code concerning participation in a criminal act. 

Based on the investigation report, suspect FA summoned P and other juniors from the third to the second floor of the campus, alleging a violation of school rules for wearing sports uniforms in class. 

Suspect WJP used language perceived as mocking during the violence while suspect KAK pointed out P before the violent act by TRS, referring to him as "my trusted mayoret." 

The police continue to develop the case, questioning 43 witnesses and gathering physical evidence, including clothing and CCTV recordings.
