In a solemn ceremony at Mozes Kilangin Airport in Timika, the Chief of Operation Damai Cartenz Task Force, Senior Superintendent Dr. Faizal Ramadhani, led the farewell for First Brigadier (posthumous)Alfando Steve Karamoy who lost his life during ambush by the Armed Criminal Group (KKB) in Intan Jaya, Papua. The ceremony  on Saturday (20/1/2024) was attended by Deputy Operation Chief of the Task Force Senior Superintendent Ronny Suseno, and Commander Senior Superintendent Danu Windarto,. Superintendent Dr. Bayu Suseno, the spokesperson of the Task Force, said that the late officer's body was flown from Bilorai Sugapa Airport, Intan Jaya, to Timika using the Smar-Air PK-SNP aircraft to Luwuk Banggai, Southeast Sulawesi. During his address, Chief Dr. Faizal, expressed his condolences for the loss of the late Brigadier Karamoy, emphasizing the collective grief felt for losing a dedicated member. KKB, led bby by Apen Kobogau, ambushed the on duty Task Force personnel in the Telkomsel BTS Tower in Bilogai Village, Sugapa District. The authorities has vowed to bring the perpetrators to face legal consequences for the attack. (ar/inp/pr/nm)
