inp.polri.go.id - West Jakarta. Quick and responsive action from Tambora Sector Police members have gained another appreciation from the public.

A foreigner with the name of Chi Wah Liu alias Nicolas (29), expressed his gratitude for the quick response of Tambora Sector Police in responding to his missing MacBook Air laptop and Google Pixel handphone on Thursday (1/9/2025).

“I am deeply grateful for the quick response of Tambora Sector Police as I did not think they would find my handphone and laptop so quickly,” says Chi Wah Liu on Saturday (1/11/2025).

He also states that he was able to get his items back, thanks to the police mediation with the thief.

Tambora Sector Police Chief of West Java Sub-regional Police, Police Assistant Superintendent  Donny Agung Harvida, through Tambora Sector Police Criminal Investigation Unit, First Police Inspector Sudrajat Djumantara explains that the items were taken by Nicolas acquaintance.

“His items, the laptop and the phone, were taken by his friend who was visiting his place. The goods were then pawned by his friend," said Sudrajat.

After an investigation and mediation, both parties agreed to make peace. The victim chose not to continue the case to the legal process.

"We were applying a restorative justice approach by making a peace statement between the victim and the perpetrator," added Sudrajat.

The restorative approach applied by the Tambora Sector Police shows the police's efforts to not only resolve cases legally, but also provide peaceful solutions that benefit all parties.
