inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Health Minister Budi Gunadi Sadikin says the government continues to improve the health service quality in all regencies/city, particularly in treating stroke, heart disease, and cancer patients.

“The expectation is that the state hospital across the 514 regencies/cities will have better medical services, at least they are able to serve chemotherapy for cancer patients, catheterization or heart ring installation, and stroke services," said the Minister of Health on Friday (9/6/2024).

Minister Budi says that cardiac arrest is one of the primary causes of death in Indonesia, followed by stroke, cancer, and hypertension.

“While hospitals that can provide integrated heart surgery are very limited. This is what continues to be improved and added, including medical personnel,” continues the Minister of Health.

One of the ways is through building a hospital in Surabaya, East Java. The construction of the Health Ministry Hospital in Surabaya cost 2 trillion IDR and was inaugurated by President Joko Widodo on Friday, September 6th, 2024.

The Ministry of Health Hospital in Surabaya will not only serve the community around East Java, but also become a hub for the eastern part of Indonesia.
