inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Minister of Primary and Secondary Education Abdul Mu'ti held a meeting with the Minister of Home Affairs, Tito Karnavian in ensuring fair, transparent and accountable the 2025/2026 New Student Admissions Selection (SPMB).
He said that the implementation of SPMB that is fair, transparent, and accountable is the commitment of his party in realizing the fourth point of Astacita.
"The fourth point of Astacita is to strengthen the development of human resources, science, technology, education, health, sports achievements, gender equality, as well as strengthening the role of women, youth, and people with disabilities," Abdul noted on Wednesday (2/26/2025).
Responding to the invitation from Abdul to make SPMB a success, Tito expressed his full support.
He said that the regulations issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs had become the basis for reference in supporting various programs in the education sector.
One of them is the Regulation of the Minister of Home Affairs in 2023 concerning the Management of Operational Assistance Funds for Education Units in Regional Governments.
"The Ministry of Home Affairs will fully support the implementation of SPMB in the regions. As well as facilitating and supervising the implementation of this policy so that it runs smoothly," Tito said.
Before parting ways with Abdul, the Minister of Home Affairs reaffirmed his party's commitment to play an active role in SPMB and ensure equal access to education, and support supervision of policy implementation.
"Technical support and monitoring at the regional level, of course, will be a priority," Tito concluded
