Greater Jakarta Metropolitan Regional Police: 380 Homecomers Returning to Jakarta Tested Positive for Covid-19

Greater Jakarta Metropolitan Regional Police stated than 58,601 homecomers returning to Jakarta has conducted antigen swab test in 14 checkpoints during May 16th to 21st, 2021. Chief of Public Relations and Press Division of Greater Jakarta Metropolitan Regional Police, Police Grand Commissioner Yusri Yunus, stated that out of tens of thousands of homecomers subjected to test, 380 of them tested positive for Covia-19. "Out of 58,601 homecomers, 380 tested reactive/positive for Covid-19. The rest are tested non-reactive", he explained on Saturday (22/5/21). Police Grand Commissioner Yusri Yunus said that those hundreds of homecomers are self-isolating in some appointed places. Sixty-five people are self-isolating in Athlete Village Covid-19 Emergency Hospital. "191 are self-isolating at home, 65 referred to the emergency hospital, and other 124 are self-isolating in other places", he said. Chief of Public Relations and Press Division of Greater Jakarta Metropolitan Regional Police adds, "For other referral places are provided only for people not resides in Jakarta. For example, if his/her house is in Lebak, Banten, then we will coordinate with Lebak Covid-19 Task Force to be picked and later isolated", he continues. Police Grand Commissioner Yusri Yunus also affirms that the police has done maximum measures such as free antigen test and visiting homecomers' house to push back Covid-19 transmission. "Sectoral Polices also have the free antigen swab test service, as an effort to reduce Covid-19 transmission and anticipate the huge rise of Covid-19 positive rate after 2021 Eid holiday", Chief of Public Relations and Press Division said.
