Comparatively, the outbound traffic volume from Greater Jakarta surged by 41.73% from normal traffic or 569,735 vehicles. This represented a 12.97% increase from the previous year's Eid period, totaling 714,794 vehicles, according to antaranews.com. The majority of vehicles departed towards the east (Trans Java and Bandung) with 462,710 vehicles (57.30%), followed by the west (Merak) with 209,582 vehicles (25.95%), and the south (Puncak) with 135,218 vehicles (16.75%). To support smooth outbound traffic, one-way traffic engineering has been in place, with police discretion from kilometer 72 Cipali Toll Road to kilometer  414 Batang-Semarang Toll Road. Contraflow traffic has also been implemented on two lanes of the Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road from kilometer 47 to kilometer 70 at Cikampek Main Toll Gate. (mg/inp/pr/nm)
