inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Member of Commission III of the Indonesian House of Representatives Bambang Soesatyo said that the success of the Police in uncovering a hashish drug factory in a villa in Uluwatu, Bali, showed a firm commitment to eradicating drugs.

"The success of the Police in uncovering a hashish drug factory in Bali shows the commitment and hard work of the Police in eradicating drug trafficking in the country," said Bambang “Bamsoet” Soesatyo.

According to him, the disclosure operation not only thwarted the production and distribution of drugs, but also gave a firm message to the syndicates that the state is present in combating drug trafficking in Indonesia.

On the other hand, the former Chairman of the MPR RI also asked the Police to ensnare all dealers and parties involved in drug trafficking using the money laundering (TPPU) crime article.

Bamsoet assessed that the TPPU article is one of the active instruments to dismantle drug syndicate networks that often have complex financial structures.

By charging the drug criminals with TPPU article, the Police can follow the financial trail of the perpetrators and identify assets obtained from the proceeds of drug trafficking crimes.

He hopes that the confiscation of assets belonging to drug dealers and couriers can provide a deep deterrent effect.

"In this way, the Police not only stop drug trafficking, but also impoverish the perpetrators and damage the financial capabilities of the drug network," said Bamsoet.

Previously, the Directorate of Drug Crimes of the Indonesian National Police Criminal Investigation Agency dismantled a hashish narcotics laboratory in a villa on Uluwatu Jimbaran, Badung Regency, Bali.

From the results of the search, police investigators found evidence of narcotics and narcotic precursors, both finished and unfinished.

The finished narcotics were 18 kilograms of solid hashish in silver packaging, 180 sticks, 12.9 kilograms of solid hashish in gold packaging, 253 sticks, 35,710 finished happy five pills, 765 cartridges containing liquid hashish, and 6,000 empty cartridges.
