Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Public Relations (PR) Division of the Indonesian National Police (INP) conducted cyberjournalism training on Monday (5/6/23) to enhance its members' preparedness in addressing a diverse range of current issues. Inspector General Sandi Nugroho, the Head of the PR Division, inaugurated the training session.

During his address, he emphasized the importance of members possessing competence, an understanding of trends, collaboration skills, the ability to personalize content, and integrity to adapt effectively to the fast-paced era of Industry 4.0.

"Cyberjournalism refers to journalistic activities that leverage available technology. PR Division members must be responsive to issues and technologically savvy, as the information landscape evolves by the second," he said.

He further elaborated that in an effort to equip its personnel with a deep understanding of the challenges posed by digital communication, the training program that aims to empower all members to navigate the complexities of digital communication effectively is significant to all division members.

"The continuous improvement of competence and adaptability to the ever-evolving landscape of communication and information technology is of utmost importance for the members of the PR Division. This is particularly vital given the overwhelming circulation of information in today's world," he said.

The training program aligns with one of the Chief of INP's 16 Priority Programs, which focuses on enhancing the Modern Police Technology Transformation within the framework of Police 4.0.
