Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Metro Jaya Regional Police has revealed that the suspects involved in the Coldplay concert ticket fraud, namely MS, MHH, A, and A, committed their actions for profit.

"Their motive was financial gain. They noticed the high demand for concert tickets, and they exploited this opportunity by employing their modus operandi," explained Police Senior Superintendent Auliansyah Lubis, the Director of Special Criminal Investigation at the Metro Jaya Regional Police, during a press conference on Monday (5/6/23).

He further elaborated that the suspects utilized a specific method that involved the creation of an Instagram account named @jastiptiket.coldplay. Through this account, they posted fraudulent offers for Coldplay ticket services, luring unsuspecting victims. Unfortunately, those who made payments never received the promised tickets.

In that fraudulent scheme, suspect MS took role of creating the Instagram account, suspect MHH was responsible for facilitating the Dana account, and suspect A was involved in creating both the e-wallet and Dana account. Regarding the profits obtained, MS received Rp18 million, MHH received Rp1.5 million, A received Rp500,000, and the other A received Rp350,000.

"The suspects are facing charges under Article 28 paragraph 1 in conjunction with Article 45a paragraph 1, which carries a maximum penalty of six years imprisonment or a fine of Rp1 billion," he concluded.
