Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta.  The Indonesian National Police (INP) launched on Tuesday (23/4/2024) two volleyball teams, the  Jakarta Bhayangkara Presisi and POPSIVO POLWAN. 

Under the patronage of INP Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo and managed by the INP Chief Human Resource Assistant Inspector General Prof. Dedi Prasetyo as the CEO and West Kalimantan Regional Police Chief Inspector General Pipit Rismanto as the Manager, these teams aimed to blend experienced national athletes with promising local talents, showcasing Indonesia's prowess.

Chief Pipit emphasized the importance of integrating police athletes into these teams, offering them a platform to excel and enhance Indonesia's sporting reputation.

Jakarta Bhayangkara Presisi consists of  two  police officers, 17 non-commissioned officers and two foreign players while POPSIVO POLWAN comprises ten policewomen, three professional athletes, and two foreign guests.

Meanwhile Chief Dedi highlighted the establishment of the Police Sports Committee (KOP), endorsed by the INP Chief, providing a dedicated platform for the INP athletes to excel, including in volleyball. 

Through the KOP, the INP aimed to partake in international events like the International Police Olympics, promoting Indonesia's global recognition, he said.
