Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Semarang Sub-regional Police and Al Musthofa Islamic Boarding School in Kendal hosted a community event organized by the the Indonesian National Police (INP) Public Relations Division on Wednesday (24/7/2024). 

The event, featuring a Focus Group Discussion (FGD) titled "Terrorism is Our Common Enemy," aimed to raise awareness about radicalism and terrorism. It was also the INP’s initiatives to strengthen cooperation between security forces and the community to uphold Indonesia’s unity and peace.

Brigadier General Trunoyudo Wisnu Andiko led the event, with cleric Muhammad Nasir Abbas, a former terrorism convict turned peace advocate, as the keynote speaker. The FGD included community leaders, religious figures, and students.

Chief Trunoyudo stressed the importance of counter-radicalism efforts to prevent the spread of radical beliefs, urging collaboration from all community sectors. 

Cleric Abbas highlighted the hidden yet real threat of terrorism and explained the progression from extremism to terrorism. He advised vigilance against radical ideologies and intolerance.
