Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Indonesian National Police (INP) is on alert for possible protests and gatherings around the inauguration of President Prabowo Subianto and Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka, scheduled for Sunday.

The ceremony will take place at the Nusantara Building in the House of Reprentatives (DPR) complex in Senayan, Jakarta.

"We must anticipate the potential for public gatherings, as some may come to celebrate or pray for the inauguration, while others may engage in protests," said INP Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo on Friday (18/10/204).

To address these concerns, the INP is collaborating with the Indonesian Military Forces (TNI) to mitigate risks before and during the event. It includes securing routes and managing traffic, especially as crowds gather to welcome both the outgoing and incoming presidents.

Both institutions are deploying a total of 115,000 personnel, consisting of 100,000 military soldiers and 15,000 police officers, for the event. Delegates from over 30 countries are expected to attend, including representatives from Germany, Australia, and the United States.

To ensure security, TNI has established a Joint Command for VVIP Protection, led by Admiral Rachmad Jayadi, which will oversee operations from Friday to Wednesday.
