Inp.polri.go.id – Jakarta. The Indonesian National Police (INP) Traffic Corps held inter-sectoral coordination meeting to discuss about 2024 Eid Al-Fitr homecoming traffic flow. The meeting was also attended by Jasa Marga, Directorate of Land Transportation, and Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR).
Head of the INP Traffic Corps, Inspector General Aan Suhanan states that the holiday of eid and other religious big days is part of yearly events. This in turns, made his party has to ensure to manage the traffic flow thoroughly.
“This is indeed a yearly operation, our routine activity, and indeed we expect that this routine activity is unlike any other routine activity,” quote Aan from Antara on Tuesday (3/5/2024).
He explains that the security operation preparation for homecoming flow has begun by surveying the road. Recently, the police have reviewed the situation in Merak Port on Monday.
According to Aan, in 2023 there are 123 million people who went to their hometown and recreation. If there are an increase for another five to six percent, then at least there would be 136 millions of people moving during the homecoming period.
