The Indonesian National Police (INP) vows to always comply with the Electronic Information and Transaction Law, even still when the law was revised to remove the defamation article. The Head of INP Public Information Bureau, Brigadier General Trunoyudo Wisnu Andiko says that police will first study the new law as they intent to adapt with the new regulation. “If that is how it is, we will adapt, study, and comply with the new law,” says Trunoyudo on Friday (3/22/2024). On the other hand, Trunoyudo ensures that the case handling for defamation case that has been logged to the police will not be halted. “Of course, cases that have been investigated will not be stopped,” said Trunoyudo.
