Inp.polri.go.id - Kupang. The Jakarta administration has confirmed that the Jakarta minimum wage (UMP) for 2025 will rise, though the exact increase has yet to be determined.
Jakarta's Head of the Manpower, Transmigration, and Energy Agency, Hari Nugroho, said on Thursday (7/11/2024)that the UMP hike will be set following discussions within the wage council.
He indicated that this year’s increase might be larger due to a higher "alpha" index, which considers economic growth and inflation.
"Previously, alpha ranged from 0.1 to 0.3. Now, it’s set at 0.2 to 0.8, which will automatically lead to a higher UMP than last year," Hari explained, as quoted by antaranews.com.
In 2024, the Jakarta government set the UMP at Rp 5,067,381, a 3.38 percent increase, or Rp 165,583, from the previous year.
