inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. President Joko Widodo appointed Inspector General Eddy Hartono as Head of the National Counterterrorism Agency (BNPT) at the State Palace in Jakarta on Wednesday (9/11/2024).

The inauguration was based on decree 124/PPA/2024 concerning the Dismissal and Appointment of High-Ranking Main Positions at BNPT.

“In the name of God I vow that I will be loyal to the 1945 Constitution of the Republic of Indonesia and will carry out all statutory regulations for the sake of my service to the nation and state,” vows Eddy during his oath of office.

Inspector General Eddy replaces Commissioner General Rycko Amelza Dahniel who has retired as a member of the police since August 14th, 2024.

Eddy was a graduate of the Police Academy in 1990 with experience in the field of Investigation. Eddy's last position was Director of Law Enforcement, Deputy for Enforcement & Capacity Development of BNPT.
