inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. President Joko Widodo inaugurates two sections of Trans-Sumatra Toll Road project, namely the Indrapura-Kisaran Section 2 and Bayung Lencir-Tempino of Betung-Jambi.

The inauguration ceremony was held at Kisaran Toll Gate, North Sumatra on Wednesday and has become one of the agenda of the President's visit to North Sumatra.

The inaugurated Bayung Lencir-Tempino Toll Road is the 34 km long section three toll road of Jambi Province. Its development cost the government IDR 5.6 trillion. The toll road has been built since two years ago and is part of the Trans-Sumatra Toll Road.

In addition, the President also inaugurated the Indrapura-Kisaran Toll Road which was built since 2018 with an investment of IDR 6.32 trillion along 47.75 km, consisting of two sections, namely Section 1 Indrapura-Lima Puluh along 15.6 km and Section 2 Lima Puluh-Kisaran 32.15 km.

“These toll roads will be the catalyst in growing new economic growths in North Sumatra and Jambi. With the existence of the toll road, mainly the Trans-Sumatra toll road, we hope there will be speed in the mobility of people, goods and logistics distribution," said President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo on Wednesday (10/16/2024).
