The General Chairperson of the Indonesian Child Protection Agency (LPAI) Seto Mulyadi, welcomed the new formation of the Directorate of Women and Children’s Crimes (PPA) and Human Trafficking Crimes (PPO) under the Indonesian National Police (INP) Criminal Investigation Agency by INP Chief, General Listyo Sigit Prabowo.

"As the General Chairperson of LPAI, which has been working with INP for quite some time, I fully support the initiative of what Chief of Police has taken on September 20th, 2024, which is the formation of the Directorate of PPA and PPO" said the man who is familiarly called Kak Seto on Thursday (9/26/2024).

The establishment of the PPA-PPO Directorate was also appreciated by Kak Seto. With the new police unit, Kak Seto hopes that there will be an increase in the disclosure of cases of crimes against women and children.

Moreover, Kak Seto himself saw many perpetrators of violence and sexual crimes against women and children case disclosures were hampered by various things.

"Hopefully firm action against perpetrators of crimes against women and children can also be further increased," Kak Seto prayed.

Kak Seto said that his party together with INP are working together with police in several countries, including the United States, Mexico, Australia, and Thailand. The cooperation is none other than part of taking action against human trafficking, especially child trafficking.
