Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The General Elections Commission (KPU) responds to a viral video concerning Indonesian citizens in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, claiming exclusion from the permanent voter list for the 2024 elections.
KPU member Idham Holik believes that the circulating video needs to be verified first, as it may potentially fall into the category of misinformation.
"Regarding the widely circulated video on social media, it is crucial for us to ensure the authenticity of the video," he said on Tuesday (2/1/24).
He clarified that non-registered overseas voters are classified under the Special Overseas Voter List and emphasized that these individuals have never been included in the domestic voter list.
"If overseas voters have never been registered, they are categorized as DPKLN voters," he explained.
