Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Chief of Presidential Staff Office (KSP) Moeldoko has called for improvements in governing internships abroad following the case of four Indonesian students in Germany suspected of being victims of human trafficking. He chaired a coordination meeting on the issue on Wednesday (20/3/2024), emphasizing the need for better governance to safeguard students participating in programs like Ferienjob. Chief Moeldoko highlighted discrepancies between the program's information and the reality faced by students, urging the Indonesian National Police (INP) to investigate thoroughly, as reported by antaranews.com. He stressed the importance of depoliticizing the issue to prevent disruptions, especially during a political year. Representatives from various ministries and the INP attended the meeting, which aimed to address concerns raised after the INP uncovered the suspected human trafficking case involving the Ferienjob internship program for Indonesian students in Germany.
