Inp.polri.go.id - Bandarlampung.  The Lampung Regional Police commented that its officer, Assistant First Inspector Supriyanto's action in returning Rp100 million left in the restroom of Rest Area kilometer 116 A of the Trans Sumatra Toll Road was a real example of dedication and high integrity in performing police duties.

"The Lampung Police Chief is very proud of his courage and honesty. His action not only reflected professionalism but also the commitment of the Indonesian National Police to serve and protect the community wholeheartedly," said the Head of Public Relations of the Lampung Police, Senior Superintendent Umi Fadillah Astutik, on Tuesday (16/4/2024).

She revealed that, as an additional form of appreciation, the Lampung Police Chief also announced that Officer Supriyanto would be given the opportunity to attend the Police Education Shift Officer (PAG) school at the end of 2024.

"The Police Chief believes that he is a potential leader and has the ability to make a significant contribution to maintaining security and order in Lampung," Chief Umi said, according to antaranews.com

Officer Supriyanto found a traveler's bag left in the restroom on Sunday. The bag, left on a restroom wall hook, contained hundreds of millions in Rp100,000 bills, a passport, and a cellphone.

Upon finding the bag, he did not open it but took it to the post to be inspected with security and the rest area staff. Officer Supriyanto then announced it using the mosque's loudspeaker.

Eventually, the announcement was heard by the owner of the bag. After connecting, Aiptu Supriyanto met the owner at the rest area mosque and returned the traveler's bag. It turned out that the owner of the bag was Sukisno (55), a traveler who was heading home to Belitang, South Sumatra, after visiting Java.
