Inp.polri.go.id – Riau. Riau Regional Police arrest a drug dealers in Pangeran Hidayat street, Pekanbaru City. However, during the arrest, the authority was met with resistance from the locals.

Police say that the arrest begins with information that there would be a drug transaction at the location.

“From the first suspect, we confiscated five small packages of meth. While from the second suspect, we seized 21 small packages of meth,” said the Drug Criminal Investigation Director, Senior Superintendent Manang Soebeti.

Furthermore, police explained that the two suspects were arrested by police who were going undercover. However, after arresting the dealers, the officers were stopped by the locals.

“Several people stopped us when we just arrested the suspect. Thankfully the situation can be handled,” said Manang.

After the arrest, suspects were moved to Riau Regional Police Bhayangkara Hospital for a urine test.

“The test result shows that the two are positive for methamphetamine. As of now, we are examining the suspect for further investigation,” conclude Manang Soebeti.
