Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Jakarta Metro Jaya Regional Police and Greater Jakarta sub-regional police headquarters have seized 1.14 tons of narcotics worth an estimated Rp1.13 trillion (USD 69 million) over the past three months, officials announced Tuesday (30/9/2025).
The crackdown covered 1,719 cases between July and September 2025.
A total of 2,318 suspects were arrested, including six producers, one major dealer, 769 distributors, and 1,542 users or addicts.
“The seized narcotics included 604 kilograms of crystal meth, 221 kg of marijuana, 67.7 kg of liquid meth, 23,000 ecstasy pills, 569,000 hard pills, 9.1 kg of synthetic tobacco, 19.8 kg of synthetic seeds, 6 kg of ketamine, and 164 kg of Happy Five,” said Metro Jaya Police Head of Narcotics Directorate Senior Superintendent Ahmad David, as quoted by antaranews.com.
Police estimate the seizures prevented over 4.5 million potential drug abuses in Jakarta. Many of the drugs originated from networks in Iran, China, and Malaysia, using drop points, delivery services, and social media for distribution.
