Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Jakarta Metro Jaya Regional Police have uncovered a major operation trading illegal imported second-hand clothing, seizing a total of 207 bales, across several locations in Jakarta and West Java. following a community tip-off in East Jakarta.
The investigation by the Metro Jaya Police’s Special Crimes Directorate began with
“From the initial inspection, officers found 23 bales of imported second-hand clothing inside a truck and detained the driver, identified as D,” said Senior SUperintendentl Edy Suranta Sitepu, the Metro Jaya Police Director of Special Crimes, on Saturday (15/11/2025), as reported by antaranews.com.
The probe led police to Pasar Senen market in Central Jakarta, where they arrested another suspect, identified as I, who served as the coordinator receiving the goods.
Based on his statement, officers tracked two additional trucks en route to Jakarta. A swift operation in Padalarang, West Bandung, resulted in the seizure of two trucks, three box cars, one Avanza car, and the detention of seven drivers and assistants carrying 184 bales of clothes
