Inp.polri.go.id – Jakarta. The Information and Communication Minister Budi Arie Setiadi ensures digital space will remain conducive during 2024 General Election. The safety of digital space, said Budi, must be realized to achieve a quality politics and democracy in Indonesia. “If we found any hoax, misinformation, or hate speech content, those contents will be taken down immediately by us,” says the Minister on Wednesday (12/13/2023). Budi emphasized that the act against hate speech also applies to supporters who targeted the three presidential candidates without exceptions. “Whoever made the hoax contents will be taken down, no exceptions,” stressed Budi. Underscored by Budi further, there are two ways to track the hate speech or hoax contents during 2024 General Election which are through 24 hours cyber patrol and through public reports. (ad/ay/pr/nm)
