inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Minister of Public Works (PU) Dody Hanggodo revealed that the contactless cashless toll transaction system technology or Multi Lane Free Flow (MLFF) can be useful in reducing congestion on toll roads.
"It reduces the impact of congestion at many toll gates. It will certainly be very beneficial, when the toll roads are at their peak, for example during Christmas - New Year or Eid," said the Minister of Public Works on Tuesday (11/26/2024).
According to him, Indonesia must look to developed countries that have implemented contactless cashless toll transaction technology and Indonesia must also be able to implement this.
The government itself is trying to study toll road technology, including MLFF, and asking for advice from more competent parties.
This aims for Indonesia to obtain the most effective, efficient and best technology for the country and the people of Indonesia.
For information, the MLFF System uses Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) technology and carries out transactions through the Cantas application which is integrated with ERI (Electronic Registration and Identification) data or vehicle ownership data owned by the Indonesian National Police Traffic Corps.
One of the benefits of the MLFF transaction system is the efficiency of operating costs and minimizing vehicle fuel usage.
