inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Minister of Environment and Forestry Siti Nurbaya Bakar says the public plays pivotal role in the effort of preserving environment from managing the garbage to planting trees.

“The government continues to invite a public active role in maintaining the environment,” says Minister Siti on Tuesday (10/1/2024).

She assesses that public participation in preserving the environment is much better than the other countries after she participated in many international meetings.

“Throughout my three to four years journey in participating in many conventions and international meetings, I can confidently says that Indonesians participation in preserving the environment is much better,” says Minister Siti.

She particularly highlights the participation of the young generation in preserving the environment. According to Siti, nature conservation becomes important as it is part of effort in maintaining the nature of Indonesia.

“In managing and preserving the environment, nature conservation is the last part of preserving the environment. Therefore, we capture and pave the way for young generations to take the initiative,” explains Minister Siti.
