Inp.polri.go.id – Jakarta. The Minister of Home Affairs Tito Karnavian says around 240 State Civil Apparatus (ASN) are proven to have violated their neutrality in the 2024 General Election. “There are 240 ASN proven to have violated their neutrality and all of them have been sanctioned. Then, 180 ASN have been handled by PPK to be sanctioned,” says Tito in Jakarta on Monday (3/25/2024). The findings, said Tito, were coming from 450 reports lodged to the Election Supervisory Body (Bawaslu) for the election neutrality violation. Moreover, there are five government officials who were sanctioned with replacement after proven to have violated 2024 General Election neutrality. “There are several officials too who have proven guilty based on the reports. Other than Bawaslu, the Inspectorate General of Home Affairs Ministry) also investigated the reports and based on the evidence, there are five of them who we punished by replacing them,” says Tito. Furthermore, Tito said that the five of them are proven guilty of violating ASN neutrality for directing their support to one of the presidential election candidates. (ad/ndt/pr/nm)
