Inp.polri.go.id - IKN. President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo announced on Tuesday (13/8/2024) that Indonesia's national football team will start using the new football training center in Ibu Kota Nusantara (IKN), East Kalimantan, in September.
“The facility will be used in September as it now features 2.5 football fields,” he said after inspecting the training center, as quoted by antaranews.com.
He noted that two full-sized fields have been completed with both synthetic and natural grass, while half a field is designated for technical drills.
President Jokowi added that while the current facility includes 2.5 fields, the plan is to build a total of eight fields, with contributions from FIFA and AFC.
The training center covers 34.5 hectares and includes a dormitory with 138 beds, 56 double rooms for players, 20 single rooms for coaches, and six suites for head coaches. It is equipped with physiotherapy, fitness, and medical facilities.
