Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta.  The Nusantara Capital Authority (OIKN) has allocated land for foreign embassies that wish to relocate to the new capital, Ibu Kota Nusantara (IKN), East Kalimantan.

“We are currently in the process of relocating foreign embassies. The land is ready; it’s just a matter of which embassies will move to IKN first,” said Jacky Habibie, the Policy Analyst at the Basic Services Directorate of OIKN, during an online seminar on Tuesday (13/8/2024).

He said that OIKN has also prepared to support non-governmental organizations, including political, religious, and economic groups, interested in relocating to IKN.

“While we haven’t mandated NGOs to move to IKN, we are ready to assist those who wish to join us here,” he added, as quoted by antaranews.com.

Vice President Ma’ruf Amin highlighted that IKN is poised to be one of the world’s best capitals, with clean air, international-standard buildings, and the majestic Istana Garuda.

Marco Kamiya, a representative from the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO), considered IKN as a potential model for integrated forest-garden cities, setting new standards for urban development.
