Inp.polri.go.id - Bogor. Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal, and Security Affairs Hadi Tjahjanto said that the new Adhi Pradana National Museum of Counter-Terrorism aims to educate the public about the dangers of terrorism.

"People need to understand the threats terrorism poses to every aspect of national life," Hadi said during the 14th-anniversary celebration of the National Counter-Terrorism Agency (BNPT) and the museum's inauguration at the BNPT office in Bogor, West Java, on Tuesday (16/7/2024).

The museum showcases terrorism incidents in Indonesia from 1948 to 2022, serving as an effective medium to inform future generations about the dangers of terrorism, according to antaranews.com.

"This museum is open to the public and prioritizes school children, who need to understand these historical challenges," Minister Hadi said.

The museum aims to enhance public understanding of the history of terrorism in Indonesia, making it accessible to all.

During the event, Hadi and BNPT Chief Commissioner General Mohammed Rycko Amelza Dahniel also established the Indonesian Anti-Terrorist Association (PATI), which contributes to BNPT's efforts in terrorism mitigation.

"Museum visitors can learn about the history, threats, and strategies against terrorism," he explained.

The museum features a contemporary design that combines traditional and modern elements, providing an effective educational experience through visualizations and simulations.
