No Indonesian Casualties in Taiwan Earthquake: Minister Retno

"As of now, there have been no reports of Indonesian casualties," she said on Friday (5/4/2024). The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, along with the Indonesian Trade and Economic Office (KDEI), have been monitoring the situation to ensure the well-being of Indonesian citizens following the earthquake, according to antaranews.com KDEI in Taipei has advised Indonesians in Taiwan, particularly those in Hualien, to remain vigilant for potential aftershocks and to stay updated through local authorities in Taiwan and Taipei. The earthquake, with magnitudes of 7.5 and 6.6, struck Taiwan on Wednesday morning, causing tremors felt as far as Okinawa and Miyako Islands in southern Japan, prompting tsunami warnings in those regions.
