Inp.polri.go.id - Mataram. West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) Regional Police Chief Inspector General R. Umar Faruq led the ‘Mandalika Gatari 2024’ Operation launch ceremony on Tuesday (24/9/2024) to secure the upcoming MotoGP event in Mandalika.
The ceremony, held at Bhara Daksa Field, was attended by, among others, the West Nusa Tenggara Acting Governor and the West Nusa Tenggara Police high ranking officials as well as, the Chiefs of Sub-regional Police across the province.
The operation will run from 24 to 30 September2024, involving 2,736 personnel from various stakeholders and communities.
Given personnel and equipment limitations, the East Nusa Tenggara Police has requested support from nearby police units, including 300 personnel from the Indonesian National Police (INP) Headquarters, East Java Regional Police, and the INP Traffic Corps.
“This joint exercise prepares our personnel and equipment to stand ready for the event, especially as the Presidential entourage will be visiting Lombok during the operation,” said Chief Faruq.
He emphasized that intelligence units should detect potential issues early and act swiftly with preventive measures while maintaining ethical conduct.
Chief Faruq urged all officers to collaborate effectively, ensuring a secure and successful MotoGP event.
