Vice Chief of Jakarta Metropolitan Regional Police Brigadier General Suyudi Ario Seto has issued directives to his officers, emphasizing the prioritization of security measures to address potential disturbances during the U-17 World Cup at the Jakarta International Stadium (JIS) in North Jakarta. The Operation Aman Bacuya 2023 encompasses crowd management, traffic control, and the prevention of physical altercations among fans. "Stadium entrance crowd control, traffic enforcement to avert accidents, and ensuring the physical safety of fans will be our primary areas of focus," he emphasized during the Operation Aman Bacuya 2023 preparations on Thursday (9/11/23). The Vice Chief elaborated on potential concerns, which include obstructing or assaulting referees, players, and officials, along with incidents involving the improper use of flares on the field. Additionally, he stressed the importance of addressing politically charged displays, particularly those related to conflicting nations such as the Israeli-Palestinian issue, and taking proactive measures against threats like bomb threats and potential suicide bombings. "We are leaving no room for error. Every aspect from planning to execution, supervision, and control is being meticulously prepared. We consider the government's trust in the Indonesian National Police (INP) to secure this pivotal event as a call to perform our duties at the highest standard," he affirmed. Personnel assigned to Operation Aman Bacuya 2023 will take charge of overseeing the arrivals and departures of U-17 World Cup participants at airports, arranging secure accommodations, conducting surveillance of training facilities, and maintaining stadium security. The team will also be responsible for coordinating secure transit routes between team lodgings and the stadium, and back.
