Inp.polri.go.id – Jakarta. The Deputy Chief of Papua Regional Police, Brigadier General Petrus Patrige R. Renwarin opens the Socialization of Financial Functions at the Rastra Hall of Samara Polda Papua, Tuesday (14/11/2023). The activity was to ensure the Indonesian National Police Task Force fund to be more effectively and accountably managed at the end of 2023 fiscal year, while also to support the security for elections. Regional Office of the Directorate General of Treasury, Maudi Hermawan in his opening remarks highlights several points during the event such as important dates for bills submission and contracts signing for smooth budget execution. “Regarding fund reviews, there are deadlines and adjustments that need to be considered. There is also a different budgeting method compared to previous years, where contractual implementation is replaced by escrow accounts. Therefore, it is important to estimate and highlight what needs to be focused on at the end of this year, because there are mechanisms that must not be missed,” he said. Hermawan adds that it is also important to note that this year there are many grants ahead 2024 Election. He also thanked Papua Police Finance Chief which has included material related to grant management for better recording. “It is important to pay attention to how to record and register grants so that they are included as state assets, which on this case is the support of the Police. Grants must be used optimally and its administration must be accepted and operated by paying attention to related accounting aspects,” Maudi adds. On the other hand, Papua Regional Police Deputy states that Indonesian National Police (INP) is committed to maintain the status of Reasonable Without Exceptions (WTP) from BPK, which has been maintained for 10 years since 2013. “In several months, we will have a very important agenda which is 2024 Simultaneous Election with funding reaching billions from APBN and APBD. I want to remind Budget User Power (KPA) to not misuse the funds. KPA has to be careful in distributing the funds to prevent loss,” explains Patrige. Patrige also highlights strategic, innovative, and creative measures hopefully could ensure a better use of state funding accordingly. (ad/inp/pr/nm)
