Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Indonesian National Police (INP) arrested a Pakistani national carrying 22 kilograms of crystal methamphetamine in North Jakarta, officials confirmed on Tuesday (23/9/2025).

“We detained a Pakistani citizen, identified as HU, 34 year-old,in North Jakarta,” said Superintendent Ade Candra, the Head of Subdirectorate III of the Narcotics Directorate at the Jakarta Metro Jaya Regional Police, as quoted by antaranews.com.

Suspect HU was first detained on Jalan Damar, Pademangan Timur, on Monday evening, where officers confiscated three kilograms of meth packed in a green bag, two mobile phones, and a hotel key card. Follow-up raids led investigators to a hotel room in Kelapa Gading, where two suitcases containing 19 kilograms of meth were discovered.

Authorities believe the drugs originated from Aceh and were intended for distribution in Jakarta. Sus[ect HU is currently under intensive interrogation at Metro Jaya Police Headquarters as officers widen their investigation into possible trafficking networks.
