Papua Ready to Vote as Election Day Approaching

Inp.polri.go.id – Papua. The Papua Province is ready to cast their vote for the 2024 General Election. This also indirectly demonstrates the enthusiasm of Papuans in determining the future of the state and region. The latest data shows that there are 3,109 polling stations and 727,835 voters in Papua Province. On the other hand, election organizers pledges that they are committed to further improve the election preparation to ensure voters could cast their vote safely. The Acting Governor of Papua, Muhammad Ridwan Rumasukun states that in ensuring peaceful election, Muhammad has “instructed Papua security officials to secure their respective areas and polling stations in general”. Responding to Muhammad, Papua General Election Commission Chair Steve Dumbon states that his party is ready to push the General Election in Papua to go smoothly and accordingly.
