Inp.polri.go.id – Papua. The cultural figures in Papua, from Keerom Regency, Herman Yoku, invites the people of Papua to support the success of 2024 General Election. In his remarks, Herman highlights that the election day is coincide the valentine day, which are the day where people celebrate love. “I hope people would jointly build a peaceful, peace, and orderly situation during the election. With that, we indirectly have played our role as a community to ensure the sustainable development in Papua,” said Herman Yoku on Tuesday (1/30/2024). Furthermore, Herman adds that as part of a legal country, they have to comply with the laws applied in the state, wherever they live. As for the issue regarding irresponsible individuals intent to disrupt the election, Herman calls for others to not be provoked and focused in casting their votes during the election. “Remember that this election only happened once in five years. If you do not cast your vote, you are missing out the state development for five years. So let us cast our vote wherever you are,” implore Herman. (ad/ri/pr/nm)
