Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta.  Pelita Jaya Jakarta claimed victory in the IBL All Indonesian 2024 preseason tournament, defeating Satria Muda Pertamina Jakarta 75-70 at the GBK Senayan Basketball Hall on Monday (6/10/2024).

This final mirrored the IBL 2024 championship scenario, where Pelita Jaya initially lost but later triumphed. They lost the first game 80-76, but rebounded with a 72-55 win in the second match, setting up a decisive final.

“Thank God for this victory. It reflects our teamwork,” said coach Johannis Winar, as quoted by antaranews.com.

The match saw neither team leading by more than seven points. Satria Muda led by six in the first quarter, but the game was tied at 19-19. Pelita Jaya later took a six-point lead, only for Satria Muda to tie the game again at halftime.

In a strategic move, Winar replaced star center Vincent Kosasih with younger players in the final minutes, which proved decisive. Brandon Jawato led Pelita Jaya with 23 points and 13 rebounds, while Kosasih and Muhamad Arighi each scored 11 points. This victory marks Pelita Jaya's dominance in Indonesian basketball.
