East Java Regional Police Dispatch 23,000 Joint Personnel for Election Security

Inp.polri.go.id – East Java. East Java Regional Police deploys approximately 23,000 joint personnel of Indonesian National Police (INP), Indonesian Military Force (TNI), and State National Apparatus (ASN) to maintain peace and order ahead the 2024 General Election. The dispatch of security officials have also been instructed by Head of INP Security Maintenance Agency, Commissioner General Mohammad Fadil Imran at East Java Regional Police HQ on Thursday (1/25/2024). “We hope that everything is ready, our personnel is ready, the equipment is ready, the operation is ready, and obviously people are ready for the election,” said Fadil when inspecting the personnel and special equipment for mass control. Fadil adds that various efforts have been conducted to guarantee East Java is safe and sound ahead the upcoming election in 20 days more. “Yes, we aim to maintain situations like this (secured). However, if there are any escalations arise at that time, we are ready,” said Fadil while also praising East Java has security leaders such as Imam Sugianto and Rafael Granada Baay. Moreover, Fadil also invites media partners to also support the security effort in East Java ahead the election as media played a pivotal role in maintaining social behavior through their news and articles. “We hope, as we have discussed with the Regional Police Chief, that this kind of activities to be also held in Sub-regional Police one month prior the election. We know that we cannot do this alone as we aim to build a strong cooperation with related stakeholder to ensure East Java is safe,” conclude Fadil. (ad/rz/pr/nm)
