The Two-Star General revealed that the perpetrators of the persecution have been identified and are being pursued. "Please pray that the perpetrators will be caught soon," Kapolda Sumut said. A local online media journalist, Jeffry Batara Lubis was beaten by several thugs at a coffee shop in the Aek Galoga area, Madina Regency, Friday (4/3/2022). The incident was caught on CCTV and has gone viral on social media. The beatings were allegedly carried out by four members of the mass organization on the orders of an organization leader who became a suspect in the case of illegal gold miners in Madina Regency. The head of the mass organization was allegedly not satisfied with the news that Jeffry made. As a result of the beating, Jeffry, who is also the Chairman of the Indonesian Source Media Union (SMSI) in Madina Regency, suffered injuries in his head.
